In Cities of M'Dhoria, nothing is exactly as it seems. The story of this world moves ever forward, with each of its dynamic twists and turns directed by the players acting out their roles in this game. In this game, you can play any role that you want to lead. You can be a crusading knight out to protect the innocent from evil, or you can be a mercenary selling your sword and skills to anyone who has the coin to pay for it. You can be a just and benevolent ruler of a city that stands as the mighty beacon of light in the world or you can be a demon-spawned tyrant whose only goal is to put the entire world down on its knees. You can be a roguish bard, a scholarly mage or a battle-hungry barbarian. You can fight on the side of good or be an evil force that will plague the world. Within the scope of the game, you can be anything that you want in Cities of M'Dhoria.

Roleplay is strictly enforced in this game, and this is supported by a unique emote system that you will never find anywhere else in the MUDding community. While player-killing is allowed, PK is ideally the logical outcome of a role-played interaction between those involved. The world of M'Dhoria is large and has many areas. Each area caters to specific levels and tailored to provide special challenges for these levels. There are built-in quests in the game, but the staff also runs quests and events on a regular basis.
